Digital Story Telling in Education.... a must have
When coming up with this poster I kept the ideas of many topics that we discusses such as Meyers Cognitive and the Gestalt principle that we used in mind along with ideas that are used in the Graphic Design World. When someone looks at a poster for a presentation we see the idea of a white background with simple black text and an occasional picture or pop of color.
Keeping this in mind I did none of the following and instead went for more of a non conventional design. The eye is designed to flow along with the shape of the imagery. The image itself uses different shapes and common day images to symbolize the creative process that we have. This image uses simple color and gradation to bring the eye onto the text.
In the text as a whole I kept to two basic fonts to make the work seem not so busy. When coming to the layout again I worked with the shape of the image incorporating that into the layout. I bolded certain key words also making specific words a larger font and slightly changing the colors to help the viewer either consciously or subconsciously pick up on specific words or phrases.

Artistic poster and as you state, not what one normally sees as far as color and flow. Also, nice description of the theories you addressed in your post. Nice work!
